Service Description:

The Coastal Management Survey data shows sites on the Copper Coast in Waterford where people have collected coastal information for monitoring purposes. People upload the information using a Survey123 app on their mobile phone or tablet.

It is a vector dataset. Vector data portray the world using points, lines, and polygons (areas).

The data is shown as points. Each point holds information on GDPR Consent given, survey location, if the site was visited before, length of time since last visit, any major change since the last visit, type of change (e.g. erosion, deposition, flooding), notes and a photo.

CHERISH (Climate, Heritage and Environments of Reefs, Islands, and Headlands) is a 6-year European-funded Ireland-Wales project, bringing together four partners across two nations: the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, the Discovery Programme: Centre for Archaeology and Innovation Ireland, Aberystwyth University: Department of Geography and Earth Sciences and Geological Survey, Ireland. The project began in January 2017 and runs until June 2023.
